Barcelona to Host First Game at Partially Completed Camp Nou on Saturday
Barça revealed they are set to host at the renovated but unfinished Camp Nou on Saturday. Athletic Bilbao will visit the Bilbao team in domestic competition over two years after they moved out for construction to commence.
“We’ve dreamed about the return. Now, it’s here. We’re back home. Back at Spotify Camp Nou.”
The stadium will not be at full capacity but 45,401 spectators are permitted inside based on approved permits. Once fully finished, it will accommodate over 104,000 attendees, increasing from the former 99,000. Barça announced recent additions comprise a renovated tunnel for players plus modern locker rooms.
Recent Activities
The club conducted a public practice at the Camp Nou earlier this month. They mentioned they were hoping for permission by UEFA to host the next European match against Eintracht Frankfurt in December in the renovated venue. Previous fixtures took place at the Olympic Stadium.
